Shiseido The Makeup Dual Balancing Foundation Review

Hello hello everyone!
So this is gonna be a review for the Shiseido Dual Balancing Foundation :-) Before I start I just want to let you guys know I always look for very very liquidy foundation because 1. watery foundation is easier to work with, whether you're using fingers or stipling/foundation brushes (leaves least streak marks) 2. watery foundation is less
thick 3. have better moisturizing effect :-)

Volume: 1 oz.
Price: $38.5
SPF: SPF 17
Finish: matte

What does it claim?

The Make Up Dual Balancing Foundation SPF 17 is another foundation proclaiming it can balance oily areas while providing moisture to dry spots. It isn't possible. Shiseido’s balancing claims are just as out of whack as those making similar claims, but the foundation itself exceeds them by offering superior sun protection (featuring in-part titanium dioxide) and a fluid, silky texture that applies like a second skin.

My Thoughts :

I like to use samples first before I purchase :) because I don't like to open a brand new product and just return it if I end up not liking it... lol! So at Nordstrom, you can ask for this little jar to store your samples (instead of having to keep them into little packets which sucks to use).

I've been using it for almost 2 weeks. You can kind of tell it's very watery consistency =)

Here are the swatches

Once blended, this sets to a natural matte finish that gives skin an attractive dimensional (rather than flat) quality. It’s well-suited for combination skin, but not because it is simultaneously controlling oil and maximizing moisture. You’ll net light to medium coverage and the selection of shades is promising. The following shades are noticeably pink or peach and best avoided: B40, B60, and I60. I loved this foundation as it makes ur skin look super silky n soft to touch. It blends very easily and keeps oil at bay.. It gives you a medium coverage and does not smell like anything which is good for those who don't like scented foundations or allergic to smells. I feel my skin feels smooth and evened out when I use it. It doesn't completely hide the dark circles or zits but covers them to a great extent. I recommend to use a moisturizer/sunscreen with higher SPF for broad spectrum. It has a watery concistency so u can apply it easily with your fingers or foundation brush.

The thing I enjoyed the most about it is its finish OBVIOUSLY :-) soon after I've applied it, it sets matte with a slight powdery feel,it's not cakey or unnatural at all. By this  I mean u can surely skip ur pressed/setting powder. I completely agree that it gives a second skin effect , if the shade matches you, and is feather light on your skin. It does not clog pores neither transfer which is also a major plus of it. Ofcourse it wouldn't stay matte all day long but it does a credible job. It does not oxidize and stays put for good 8-9 hours. A T-zone touch up may be needed mid-day,after that i'm good till i reach home in evening.

Overall I love this foundation. It has SPF 17,good coverage, high quality and matte finish-qualities of a good foundation. Its a definite repurchase for me :-)
